According to a 2015 report conducted by the National Association for College Admissions Counseling, performance in core high school classes is especially significant, with 79.2 percent of institutions attributing “considerable importance” to grades in college-prep courses. MBRT has long supported students in this message, as part of the Maryland Scholars Speakers Bureau program. This year, MBRT is happy to join, in partnership with NACAC, Baltimore City Schools, the Maryland State Department of Education, the Maryland Higher Education Commission and others, as a member of the leadership team for this year’s 2016 NACAC Baltimore College Fair. Being held at the Baltimore Convention Center, students and parents will have a chance to attend informative workshops pertaining to financial aid, the college application process and strategies and tips for student athletes. They will also have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with college representatives from over 300 colleges and universities! The event is FREE to students and parents – come out and join us October 17th or 18th! Click here for more details.
