angelaOUR SPEAKERS

Andy York - Northrop Grumman

What Teachers say about Andy:
We discussed it briefly the next class period as he used the entire 1-1/2 hours. They all spoke well of Andy. Andy was fantastic! He was very prepared and brought lots of "stuff". He goes through resumes of new applicants at his job; he's planning to send me some pointers for the kids of things he looks for!
Teacher - Westminster High School - Carroll County

Students were highly interested in Andy's presentation. Even though it is early (class begins at 7:30 a.m.), Andy's attention getter worked well. The students actively participated in the class. Andy got lots of students involved and used his props effectively. Andy was outstanding. I feel like my class was lucky to get him! He has a very interesting personal story.      Teacher - Walkersville High School - Frederick County

What Students say about Andy:
I learned that everything you do in high school counts and you need to work as hard as you can and do as much as you can to be able to get a decent job. I also learned that it costs a lot to live; get into more extracurricular activities; participate more in clubs; and be more diligent with homework.
Student - Linganore High School - Frederick County

I learned that I should grow up to be what I want to be. What I do now will benefit me in the future. Begin to work harder so my future will be more successful.
Student - Century High School - Carroll County

Today I learned that if I want to live comfortably, I need to make a good amount of money. Utilities, food, and entertainment take away from your monthly salary. Preparing for the future starts now. Transcripts from school follow you through your life. I'm going to participate in more activities so that my transcripts look better. I want to be a well-rounded person.      Student - Linganore High School - Frederick County

I learned that I need to try harder in school so that I can go to college and get a good job so I will be able to afford everyday things in my later life. Some things that I might do differently now are study hard for all my exams and my SATs so I can get into a great college.
Student - South Carroll High School - Carroll County
